An Interview with B.L. Wilde

What is your favorite color of socks to wear?
Funny you should ask. I have writing socks. They are pink with bees on them. :)

Name one actor/actress you would love to get naughty with?
Jamie Dornan. HOLY ARM PORN!! ;)

Do you like dogs or cats?
Cat’s. My fur baby is called Millie.

What's your bad quality?
I can’t say no, which means I have a habit of letting people walk all over me at times. Not to mention, I lose time for myself when I’m really busy.

Which is your most favorite book ever?
Twilight Saga. It’s given me so much.

What kind of music do you like?
I’m a rock chick! *Does air guitar*

Which is your favorite genre of movies?
Romance

What do you do when you feel very sad or depressed?
Sometimes I close myself off to the world to focus. Other times I fight it and push through.

Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night…wait what is a morning again? ;)

Renegade by Jeanne McDonald
A chance meeting between a rookie cop and a common criminal who’s searching for a way out.
An unforeseen circumstance.  An instant attraction.  A magnetic connection.

Two people entirely wrong for one another, yet so perfectly right.
When their worlds collide, Lucy Diamond will learn the true meaning of love and sacrifice as she embarks on the road of no return with bad boy Jude Wallace.
Like a thief in the night, love will take them both by surprise.

An Interview with Jeanne McDonald

Name one actor/actress you would love to get naughty with?
Just one?!  Hmm.  Can I have a foursome with Bradley Cooper, Chris Pine, and Robert Pattinson, because if I’m gonna cheat on the hubby, I want to go for it with gusto!

What is your favorite daily wear attire?
Panties.  A pair of sexy panties can make a girl feel good all day long.  No one else might see them, but you know they’re there and that’s what matters.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
We’ll have to hire a mathematician to count.  I think I’d break a calculator if I tried.

If you were a t-shirt, what color would you be? Why?
I’d be white because it stays cool in the summertime and it becomes transparent when wet.  A transparent t-shirt during a wet t-shirt contest is a surefire winner.

What was the best thing before sliced bread?
The discovery that yeast makes bread rise.

Which is your most favorite book ever?
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Which is the one television character that you simply adore?
Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory.  I love that show.

What kind of music do you like?
I’ll pretty much listen to everything, but my favorite genres for writing is Singer/Songwriter and Rock.

What do you do when you feel very sad or depressed?
I cry.  I listen to music to feed my sadness and I write.  Some of my best stuff has come from a deep heartbreak or sadness.

What kind of kid were you, naughty or nice?
I was a goody-goody.  I about died when I got detention in the 5th grade and it never happened again.  Yes, I remember the one and only time I had detention and what I got detention for.

Are you a morning person or a night person?
I’m very much a morning person.

Which is your most favorite place in this earth?

The beach.  I love the smell, the feel of the sand under my toes, and the way the water calms me.

Desolation By Jo Matthews
Liam Jenkins grew up with everything he ever wanted. At age 17, his world is ripped apart and he finds himself without a home, without a car, and without money. His support system is gone and he is left to fend for himself. Not having any other option, Liam turns to sex and small crimes to survive.
When a beautiful woman chooses not to turn him into the cops but invites him to her hotel room instead, Liam’s world is flipped upside down again and everything he’s learned on the streets ceases to exist.
What will happen when one night with her isn’t enough? When she haunts his thoughts and dreams? When his past finally catches up with him, will he be able to start over? And will his mystery woman be there to see him through?

An Interview with Jo Matthews

If you were given a chance, would you enter Big Brother?
Before this season, I would have said no. I love reality TV, but I have to be honest…I haven’t watched Big Brother since season two or three. At least until this year. When it aired this season, I was asked to watch it by a friend so we could talk about it, and while we haven’t really talked much about it, I’m hooked on the show. I love to see how each person plays their own personal game, and constantly think to myself… “I wonder if I could do any better.”

Do you like dogs or cats?
Both. I’m an animal person in general. In fact, I have one dog, one cat, three rambunctious kittens, and a fish. Animals, whether they be cats, dogs, or anything else warm and furry, are healing for the soul and great when you’re spirits are low.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Four. I know. I’m not your typical woman, and I don’t understand for the life of me why some women own hundreds of pairs of shoes. I know I could do with a few more, but it’s really not that important to me.

What's your bad quality?
Some may not think of this as a bad quality, but I’m too nice. I hate disappointing people, and do everything I can to help anyone I can. That makes me a doormat to some, and that’s not a good feeling, but I grin and bear it as best I can because that’s who I am.

Do you speak with your dog?
Doesn’t everyone? I have a 2 ½ year old German Shepherd that found me a year and a half ago, and I love him to death. He’s insane, but great to have. And he’s a great listener!

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
You’ve succeeded at being a failure. Why would anyone try to fail? That is a better question. Maybe it’s me, but I absolutely hate failing at anything. I’m driven, and continue to try to better myself and reach new heights.

What do you do when you feel very sad or depressed?
I’m a crier and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Crying is the body’s way of healing, and while something may hurt or cause you sadness at the time, crying will help you heal.

Which is the best vacation you've ever had?
Last October with my BFF and co-author, B.L. Wilde. She came to visit me from England and spent two and a half weeks out here. We did some amazing things, but even if we had just stayed home and sat on the couch and talked, it still would have been the best because of the company!

What kind of kid were you, naughty or nice?
I was totally nice. The kind of kid with their nose so far up the teacher’s ass that I couldn’t see sunshine. I was and always have been a people pleaser. I got good grades, did band and choir, and any other activity that I was needed for. The teachers all loved me, and I was Daddy’s little girl.

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Both. I can stay up until midnight or later easily, and always get up between 5 and 7 in the morning without a problem. I know, I’m weird. What can I say?

Low By Mary Elizabeth
Lowen Seely has been forced into making bad choices his whole life but none as consequential as the one that lands him behind bars. He thought times were tough before he was locked up; the boy from the hood learns living a law-abiding life is nearly impossible with a felony record.
He finds hope in Poesy Ashby, the girl who kissed him through glass partitions every weekend for two years.
Not everything is simple, but in her he finds strength.
In her, he is brave.
Even crooks love.
When Lowen and Poesy stare poverty in the face, he has another choice to make.
And this time, she’s driving.

Don't Let Me Go By Sarah Elizabeth
Based almost entirely on body language, intimate feelings can develop within less than a minute of meeting someone.
Additionally, meeting in a dangerous situation increases the chances of falling in love.
This is that fall.
Where meeting her eyes means seeing it through.
Following down from the start to don’t let me go.
From roll up to run.
Between old glory and new beginnings.
This is what happens when a lamb is carried to the slaughter by courage, instead of a cowardly lion.

Jeanne McDonald
Jeanne McDonald began telling stories at the ripe young age of five, when her mother considered the truth to be a lie due to her extensive embellishment to the retelling of an event.  She wrote her first short story when she was twelve years old, and at the age of sixteen she tried her hand at poetry.  She reconnected with her love for writing in 2010 thanks to the encouragement of a dear friend.
Her passions include a "mild" Starbucks addiction, music, reading, quotes, movies, and romance.  When she's not spending time with her family, she can be found reading, writing, chatting with her friends or diligently working toward her bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.  A proud Texan, Jeanne currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her family.

Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth is an up and coming author who finds words in chaos, writing stories about the skeletons hanging in your closets. Known as The Realist, she is one half of The Elizabeths—a duo brave enough to never hide the truth. Born and raised in Southern California, she’s a wife, mother of four beautiful children, and dog tamer to one enthusiastic Pit Bull and a prissy Chihuahua. She’s a hairstylist by day but contemporary fiction, new adult author by night. Mary can often be found finger twirling her hair and chewing on a stick of licorice while writing and rewriting a sentence over and over until it’s perfect. She discovered her talent for tale-telling accidentally, but literature is in her chokehold. And she’s not letting go until every story is told.
