Honour by M.B. Feeney COVER REVEAL

M. B. feeney is excited to present the cover for her upcoming release, Honour. A collection of 6 short stories with a miltary theme.
Due for release on 1st November in rememberence of those who have given their lives as part of their job to protect others in times of unrest.

Summary:

The world is filled with people destined to help and to serve. Doctors, nurses, police, and firefighters—each and every day, these special people work to help others in times of need. Often, this means putting their own lives at risk in order to do their jobs. They give of themselves to benefit society, and they do it without any expectation of thanks.

And then there is the military…

These are the men and women who don’t head home to their families and safe homes to relax at the end of a shift. They are on the front lines, far from home and often fighting someone else’s battles because it is the right thing to do.  Military families struggle to cope with the constant worry and the long periods of separation, staying strong to support those who serve in everything they do, and often are left to pick up the pieces when the highest price is paid.

Servicemen and women are heroes in the purest sense of the word. Even when the world’s gone mad and their hearts are breaking, one thing remains unchanged.

They have honour.

Don't forget to add Honour to your 'To read' shelf over on Goodreads

About the Author:

 M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog.  Currently at university studying for her BA (Hons) in primary teaching, she procrastinates on her assignments by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open. She is also a serious doodler and chocoholic.  Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.
Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has a novel under way whilst Honour, a compilation of her own military based shorts, is due for release 1st November 2013. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.

REVIEW: Infraction by K.I. Lynn

Infraction (Breach, #2)Infraction by K.I. Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Welcome back to the heart wrenching love story of Nathan and Lila. Can these two ever get a break?
Yes, if they’re willing to work for it, and boy howdy, has Lynn set it up so that they will be working for it.
Talk about an AMAZING ride! It took no time at all to get sucked right back into the world that Lynn first introduced us to in Breach. Her style grabs you, buckles you in, and you aren’t going anywhere until you’ve lived every painful moment, every revelation and exultation, right along with the couple who seems to have all odds stacked against them.
Readers will find this second installment of the Breach Trilogy much tamer than the first in regards to language and sex, but don’t worry, it’s not gone altogether. (Allow me to add that what she did add are true to Lynn’s steamy style—you WON’T be disappointed.) The physical encounters are toned down because that is what Nathan and Lila need; Lynn has not thrown sex in just for the sake of it. Her characters need to grow and heal individually, and together, so as much as they feel the pull and want to get their freak on, they manage to think with their brains before their desires. The reward?
Explosion. Raw energy. Pure love.
Bravo and 5 butterflies to Infraction.

His focus is tested when he finds out the beautiful but sad redhead, Sarah McLain, is his trainee.  The connection he feels to her is strong but not magickal, and his wolf claims it foolish to listen to his human instincts.  Can Chris heal her broken heart in time, or will he lose the woman he knows is perfect for him.

WAKING SARAH – COMING NOVEMBER 3rd – KRYSTAL SHANNAN

~Short Excerpt~
PROLOGUE

Sarah’s mind drifted as her friend Margaret recited her vows and became Scott O’Hearn’s wife. She stood silently holding the bridal bouquet. They were calla lilies. She would have been carrying calla lilies two weeks from today. They were her favorite and Brad always got some for her on her birthday.
Her thoughts moved to the unworn wedding dress hanging in the back of her mother’s closet. When she glanced up at Scott, the look of adoration he had for Margaret nearly broke her heart all over again. Brad would have looked at her like that.
Margaret had practically begged her to stand as her maid of honor. Sarah wanted to be here for her friend’s wedding. She really did. But neither Margaret nor Sam knew she’d been engaged to Brad. None of them knew she and Brad had picked out a wedding date. Or that it was two weeks from today. September twenty-second. They hadn’t had the time to tell anyone…
She shook her head and sniffed quietly, clearing the image from her mind.
Now, he was dead. That future they’d both been so excited to share with their friends had been stolen.
Nearly six months had passed since she’d gotten a life-altering knock on the door from two Houston police detectives. Sorry to inform you, but life-as-you-know-it has just ended. That’s not what they’d said, but it might as well have been.
She’d dropped out of college and come home to Vegas to find one Sam already married and Margaret in a rapidly-becoming-serious relationship and now married as of today. Margaret had told her earlier that day she’d wanted to get married in May, but somehow her big bear of a fiancé convinced her September would be better weather. Of course, Margaret had also shared they’d had a few snafus getting the inn up and running again, too. It was an older building. So the extra time had been needed to accommodate the repairs needed to house everyone.
Sure.
She’d listened to Margaret ramble on, but most of it had fallen on deaf ears.
The happiness in the room was suffocating. She should be happy for her friends, but she wasn’t. Then she felt guilty. Their lives weren’t perfect. Both Sam and Margaret had both recently lost their fathers. She couldn’t imagine losing her Dad, but right now the only thing her mind kept circling back to was that they both had their soul mates.
Hers was gone.
The forests outside the inn called to her soul. Dark thoughts of disappearing into the forest forever crossed through her mind. It was a big mountain. Her dreams over the last few days here had tortured her sleep and she’d doubled up on her prescription just to make it through the night. The pills helped silence the voice, but no treatment or therapy had ever successfully gotten rid of it.
She was so tired of the pain.

COVER REVEAL: Take a Gamble by N. Wood

Take a Gamble Summary:

Each Friday night, a mysterious man enters Blackjack’s Bar, orders the same drink, and sits in the same seat in the furthest corner. His presence is a welcome sight for Isaac Anderson, a regular bartender at Blackjack's. There's just something mysterious and intriguing about Caleb Miller that Isaac can’t ignore. Perhaps it's his pale and sickly appearance, or the smart way in which he dresses. Isaac just can’t put his finger on what makes this man so different. Another thing he can’t do is stop staring at this fascinating, special person. Encouraged to take a gamble and to get to know this quiet stranger, Isaac invites Caleb to watch a rock band with him. All seems to be well, until Caleb suddenly makes a mad dash for the door.

Caleb doesn’t know what to think when Isaac Anderson pursues him that night. A lifetime of rejection has taught him to expect the worst, but the attractive and warm bartender’s response to him confuses him. Isaac sees him at his worst, and Caleb is prepared to protect himself from judgment and heartache. He is shocked when he is instead given kindness and compassion. As Isaac continues to reach out to him, Caleb struggles with the choice to trust the new man in his life. Even if Isaac wants to build a relationship with Caleb, there are other people in their lives who would be happier if they stayed apart. And even if he allows Isaac into his heart, it still may not be enough for Caleb to learn to accept himself.

Anger, judgment, distrust, and violence all threaten Isaac and Caleb’s newfound love. Their relationship faces too many challenges for either man to overcome on his own. Will taking a gamble pay off, or do they both stand to lose everything?
